All HUB users who have access to TWP Time products in HUB will receive an alert in HUB notifying them of the menu change the first time they log in. Workforce Management Enhancements

Last week we launched our new Workforce Management Clock and a redesigned WebClock. Today’s release adds a single-sign-on to the employee self-service portal. Pressing the ESS button on the new WebClock will take an employee directly into their employee portal.

As we continue to enhance our Workforce Management Suite with additional schedule-aware features, employers need the ability to indicate that some employees are not expected to follow a schedule. As of today, employee profiles now include a field called Enforce Schedule, which can be set to 'Do not enforce' for employees who are not required to follow a schedule.

TimeSimplicity 2.41.0 release notes for June 14, 2016

    Enhancement for Workgroups

You can now set effective dates and expiration dates for employees’ workgroups! This allows you to specify the period in which an employee can be scheduled to work in the workgroup.

Workgroup effective dates and expiration dates can be set or changed:

    • On the Workgroups tab of an employee’s profile (Employee > Employee > Employee name > Workgroups tab)
    • On the Employees tab of a workgroup (Employee > Workgroup > Workgroup Code > Employees tab)

Note: Workgroups have been moved from the Rules tab to their own tab in employee setup. This reflects the central role workgroups play in scheduling and will make it easier to see and maintain an employee’s workgroups.

The default workgroup effective date is 01/01/2001 and the default workgroup expiration date is 12/31/9999. These defaults ensure that employees will be essentially unbounded in their relationship to the workgroup, unless you set a more restrictive effective or expiration date.

    Fixes

    • Fixed several issues with manager override permissions and warnings.
    • Fixed an issue with the Schedule All view where pressing the arrow advanced the date selector by more than one month in the 1-month view.
    • Fixed an issue where time off requests and schedules were not appearing correctly when the company was set up to display only Monday through Friday.
    • Fixed an issue where accepting shifts in a secondary workgroup could change that workgroup to the home workgroup. After all, there’s no place like home.
    • Fixed an issue where null values appeared when a company was configured to keep notes bars visible.
    • Fixed an issue where dashboard statistics would not display when Day/Month/Year format was selected in company Rules.
    • Fixed an issue with expiration dates for Insperity integrations.
    • Fixed an issue when displaying 3 or more org levels on pick up shifts.

    • Fixed an issue with the TimeWorksPlus integration that caused inactive employees to create empty legacy workgroups.

    Improvements

    • Shifts Available for Pickup now show the same details as assigned shifts. Turns out employees prefer to know all the details before they sign up for more work! Go figure.

The rule allows you to define the 24-hour workday i.e. midnight to midnight or 24 hours from shift start as well as determine if medical benefits should or should not apply when calculating overtime. • Multiple Site Management – When a Client Level login ID is selected from the Multiple Site Management feature that has an ampersand symbol (&) contained within the login ID, that login was not being recognized and resulted in their company not being selected by default. • Preserve Workgroup Description - Enhanced integrations so that workgroup description is no longer overwritten during synchronization unless the description field is blank.

    • Expired Codes – Resolved an issue where an imported code was assigned as a secondary code even though the home code had already expired. Now when a new code is imported, if the home code has expired the new code will be assigned as the home code and the expired code will be changed to a secondary code.
    • Truncating Org Codes – Resolved the issue where importing Organization Codes from TimeWorksPlus would sometimes result in a mismatch because the code would be truncated while the code assigned to the employee would not. Now Organization Codes longer than 15 characters will be truncated and assigned correctly to the client and employees.
    • Exporting Schedules – Resolved the issue where manual integrations created overlapping schedules in TimeWorksPlus.
